Our strips help take the guess work out of knowing when your mare may foal. These strips have been exceedingly accurate and have been tested by many of the Mare Stare cam owners as well as others. They will quickly become a necessary item in your foaling kit! Super easy to use and read. Approximately 15 strips per envelope. Each strip can be torn into smaller pieces which will give you more use from your package. Please read disclosures and instructions below. These are shipped FREE to the USA only without tracking. Customer Review: I am writing this to share how wonderful the Maybe Baby test strips are. I was skeptical at first because every foaling test I’d looked at seemed either complicated or too much hassle, but these strips are amazing, and incredibly simple to use!!! Not only are they simple to use, the anticipation and fun waiting to see the next result is worth every penny! I even had an unruly mare who would not let me near her teats, but I got a small drop of milk on my finger and the test strip predicted an accurate foaling within a few hours from that tiny drop on my finger! Mare Stare shipped my test strips right away and I got them up here in Canada within two days. Unfortunately for Mare Stare, I ripped the strips in half so I have lots to keep me going and don’t need to order more for quite a while. Instructions for reading the Maybe Baby Test Strip instructions. Just download and print.

• Tear off test strip - you may tear this into smaller pieces as you will only use a portion (one drop)
• Place udder secretion onto strip. You can milk the mare into a cup or place the drop directly from the udder onto the strip. We do not recommend milking into your hand as the oils, dirt and secretions on your own skin may alter the reading.
• Read results immediately.
• The results may darken the longer you take to read the result.
  • 7.0 and higher Mare is not ready and could take days to weeks longer before foaling
  • 6.8 Mare is getting closer and foaling could happen any day. Advisable to test 2 x a day
  • 6.4 Progressing and needs to be watched closely as milk quality changes quickly.
  • 6.0 Foaling should occur within 12 hours. The more yellow the test strip, the closer to foaling the mare is.
• Please remember that foaling and foaling signs differ with each animal and each pregnancy. These are guidelines.
